I know a few things from Corrections training.

Well, I didn't take the training. My buddy showed me some pressure points and take down moves from it though. Kinda nice having a corrections officer as a friend.

I know one or two pressure points that if I pushed hard enough someone isn't going to be able to get up. Effective shit even when the smallest guy is administering them.

I have not messed with it in twenty years, I have thought at times it would be cool to get back into it. I am just so damn sore all the time as it is.

Youth> Age...lol I mean I am not that old,
But If i had known I was going to live this long...I'd have been nicer to me...lol

I know nothing. But I had an ex-b/f who could street fight pretty good. Does that qualify me to post in here?
He taught me two things. If a man attacks you, poke your fingers in his eyes and try to rip his eyeballs out (supposedly even worse than hitting him you-know-where) and if you defend yourself with a knife, stick it and twist it.

I am not sure if that qualifies you ...But it does sound like you would be a tough fight...

I could probably pull from my youth if I had to, but I have never really been in a scuffle I couldn't handle, as a general rule, I don't normally have issues with confrontations. I hate folks who start shit.

I learned me some Marine Corps Martial Arts (a mix of just about every style on earth). I enjoyed the heck out of it, wouldn't mind getting back into it. Great workout and it does wonders for the aggression :D

I'm a quick learner when it comes to fighting...its something I've always taken to naturally...I always wondered how I would do in mma with the right training

yeah.. goes back to 3 pretty basic rules..

If you cant see, you cant fight
if you cant breath, you cant fight
and if you cant stand, you cant fight

eye, throat, knees.. very good targets.
Nah, you just better make sure you get them to the ground with you :D

hmm.. posting isssues.. sorry for the deleted post.. but yeah, you need to have good ground skills....

I know exactly what you mean about not starting shit. I actually havent been in a street fight, been fighting for 20 years.. not once for real.. thats why i like the Jeet Kun Do, its basically MMA.

yeah.. there truely are no rules.. one of the biggest lessons we learned in our JKD classes.. in sparring the women were encouraged to kick the nuts.. that was ... amusing.. definatly changed the playing field..

I love future weapon.. and fight science.. great shows...
