M2TS files/AVCHD

I have a couple of movies which are these file types but I don't have the software to play them. What do I do to play them? I know I need some codec shit...
Some of them aren't free, and some leave watermark banners.

Those are probably Blu-Ray rips or hi def camcorder files.
