Loud music, guns, heavy equipment....

Air grinders and mowers. Have really screwed up my hearing. I often have to ask people to repeat themselves or look at me when they are talking. I really get frustrated when my wife is a few rooms away and starts talking to me like I am standing beside her or lets out a loud exclamation. I never know if she is hurt or just reacting to a TV show.

Yeah, I agree with the other posters :nod: Have an audiology/hearing test.

At times, prevention for something to move to a graver hearing problem is better than mere cure when it's already worse ! Maybe there's something the MD can recommend at this early stage

generally a doctor can detect hearing loss at a routine visit, if a hearing aid is warranted he/she will give the go ahead. It could be a massive build up of wax as well. plus with the warmer weather it could be allergies.

as someone who suffers from hearing loss due to measles my ears are my gateway to the world. and some may call it selective hearing...funny, you don't look deaf....
