It's a slow worm, a legless kind of lizard.

It's a wild animal which belongs in the wild. Besides, it's a protected species so I don't think that would be a very good idea.

I didn't do anything with it other than take a photo of it and leave it where is was.

I haven't seen a slow worm in ages. We used to have them in our compost bin until some rats ate them :mad
