Tuesday had a couple of unexpected high points.

My Mother-In-Law had a stroke last fall. She has aphasia. Which means her speech is difficult. Her thinking is fine but the words often will not come to her easily. She sang "Happy Birthday" to me without tripping over any of it. I think she was very proud of herself. It made me smile.

I went and bowled in a Seniors tournament. The director said I was not old enough. I asked the age and she said 50. I thanked her but said "yes ma'am I am older than that.":thumbup

I'm ready for some high points in life
I'm trying my best to be content with what life gives me but lately its been beating me up
sticking to the basics I do have a job I do have a place to live and food on the table and several non needs and people who love me
I kinda feel selfish for wanting more

Don't feel selfish Dark. Yes, you have the basics, but it's human to want more than the basics. You work hard and you do deserve more. I predict better things are just around the corner for you.:thumbup
