I swear to you that it takes little girls longer to get ready to go somewhere than it takes a grown woman!!!!!!!!

We should have done been gone over an hour ago and here I sit waiting for my 8 and 7 yr olds to finish getting ready and prissing in the bathroom!

My 8 yr old told me the other day not to buy her dresses or skirts anymore cause she wasnt a "prissy girl". lol

But yet she takes FOREVER to get her hair exactly how she wants it. :lol

It depends on where Im getting ready for. If its for work, it will take me about 10 min to throw my hair back up and throw on some scrubs and socks and shoes.
But if Im going somewhere else, it takes me @ 30 min

Actually, 8-9 year old boys tend to take longer sometimes. The ones I work with get distracted by everything and can't concentrate on even putting their socks on.

and be in a bathroom more more than 5 minutes.

No......my children are not nuts, they like to make sure they look nice before they leave the house. I would rather them make sure they look decent than to not give a shit and look like a damn hillbilly

Comfort with the way you look is hot, apparently.

I don't really care how I look most of the time, either. But it's still kind of funny. I was walking to meet some friends at a restaurant downtown, and a friend of my boyfriend's ex called me a slut. And I was like, "Yeah, with my dirty mullet and my scabby legs and my perpetually ink-stained fingers. I'm even wearing my jizz bib." Seriously. I don't care. I'm not out to get picked up.

Which begs the question, why are little kids so concerned? One of my close friends has an eight year old, and the little girl is constantly asking how she looks in certain outfits and which clothes complement her figure or whatever. It's seriously unnerving.

It's pretty normal, I think, my girls are 7 and 10.......my 10 yr old picks out her outfits days in advance, has to straighten her hair almost every day and keeps bugging me about make up (yea right when she's 15!) and my 7 yr old........I have to iron EVERYTHING she wears, she WILL NOT put on any article of clothing if there is one wrinkle and if I'm not around to iron something thats wrinkled it gets thrown back in the laundry (so thanks to her I've got an extra load every other day)! Mrs B........unfortunately I think it's only the beginning, I'm afraid to think about what the teen years are gonna be like!!!!!
