If this is the case then I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comment may have caused Dana, or his family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.

True story - Ben Gillies, the drummer in Silverchair stayed the night at my missus house when he was a kid. He was in some school band and a bit of a dork then, apparently.
They were in Silverchair in Year 10...thats when they first became famous...they won a Triple J unearthed while still at school.
My daughters friend went out with one of em in high school in Newcastle, years ago
