Lions were robbed today!

Dang refs gave the game to the Texans! Guy was undoubtedly down with both his one are and knee but they said him getting up and running for a score was legit. The Skins coach threw a challenge flag which negated a review of the touchdown so that was a dumb decision also.

The refs did not blow it

The NFL has an insane rule. Which is that it is a delay of game penalty to ask for a review when the play is already automatically reviewable.

It is absurd to penalize a coach for delay of game when he throws the flag when it was supposed to be reviewed anyway.

At the very least the play should still have still been reviewed and then give the Lions a delay of game penalty from where the guys knee touched. A stupid rule but the coach knew it and still threw the flag.

Schwartz admitted he blew it.

This is the same old Lions I have known all my life. They keep finding new ways to lose games. Maybe it is best to put their fans out of misery now as they had no chance of making the playoffs.

No wonder there are players on the team out of control when the coach is also. He knew the rule and let his emotions get to him. He said after the game he threw the challenge flag before the guy was in the end zone. Some times the refs will let it slide and ask if the coach if he wants to take back the flag but Schwartz had burnt his bridges complaining about losing the earlier challenge

So your suggesting that the rules should have been ignored ? The mistake was made on the part of the coach who threw the flag. That was illegal. Had he not thrown it the touchdown would not have counted wouldn't have counted.
The coach knew that TD was on him and he admitted it on TV.
Why can't you ?
And the last time I checked it's not the ref's that make the rules, it's the rules committee. Can't blame the ref's for enforcing them. Blame the coach for not knowing them or not remembering.

no whistle was ever blown on the play. cant hate the guy for getting up and running the ball. and i believe it was one knee that touched the ground

actually I like the idea no whistle was blown as it was very close. that gives the refs a chance to review it where as otherwise he would be down and no review and if he had not touched then he would be deprived of a TD

the runner did nothing wrong. The NFL did though by their insane rule about not being able to challenge a play that is required to be reviewed.

he for sure had a knee down and also looked like his forearm too. clearly he was down.
