Limewire from my memory is not safe. But not overly dangerous. You'll get a few hundred spyware and shit, nothing terrible. At least from my experience thats what happened.

Whatever you want to download, can you not find it on torrent? That's so much safer and manageable.

I use it.. and Ive never had a problem. I like it. I have the SAFE version! LOL Just dont download porn and programs and you will be fine. lol

Limewire tries to make it easy for you to download safe files by giving you a lot of information about the file you want to down load. Choose the files that have the most number of seeders & read the info window that comes up when you scroll over each of the files.

It can be safe but it's ultimately up to you.

i SOMETIMES use Limewire but not very often. i use it to download older songs but if i want newer stuff, i use the DownloadHelper plug-in for Firefox. i get songs off of artists pages on MySpace that way. and i also use torrents as well but for complete albums...
