Liberation and Past Karma

Spiritual paths often emphasize breaking free from karmic cycles. Do you believe liberation is about ending karma completely, or just living consciously within it? How do you interpret the idea of ultimate freedom?

In Hindu and also Buddhist culture, an individual will continue to continue to die and take rebirth as long as they haven't accumulated enough good karma to be liberated. You are said to be liberated when you are awakened.
