I wasn't sure were to place this thread because it's just about a question I need an answer for. I figured it'd be ok to go in here because its how to do the letter and symbol on a computer, or maybe it should be in the how to section? or general discussion? I didn't know were to put it :willy_nilly:

:p anyways erm ...

Does anyone know how to put the dash thing over the letter A?

I'm writing about the book 'My Antonia' and there is a dash above the letter. But I don't know how to do that on the computer. Anyone know?

im guessing youre using windows. go to start>search or whatever and look for "character map".
this will give you all the codes for those letters.
to use the letter, you usually have to hold down alt and then add a zero to the front of the code. if the code was 260 you would do alt+0260
usually.

I actually knew that too! My properly spelt first name has an à in it. I also use Word to do symbols like that and just copy/paste to other places. [FONT=&quot]
