ASSHOLE!" I feel better now. I actually said it. I was leaving Taco Bell a few minutes ago with a bag, one of their lunch boxes and a drink. Sort of had my hands full. Old guy walks up to the door from the outside and waits for me to hold the door for him to walk in as I am trying to leave.:mad

I get royally pissed of when that kind of stuff happens. That and letting a car in. When people do not say thank you I always mutter asshole back at them. Normally not loud enough for them to hear it though

I go out of my way to be considerate of others and that just flew all over me. I wanted to throw my food dowm and teach him some manners but calling him an asshole will have to suffice.

Actually AA I agree that I don't like it when I let a car in to merge and they don't acknowledge it with a wave or nod or something. But, on the other side of the coin, is someone who let's a GOB of cars in to merge while I'm waiting behind him to continue on and I miss the light or something. That gets my dander up! LOL. :p

Nothing irritates me more than when I let someone in and he lets 15 other cars in after and no thank you for it. :willy_nilly:

I remember something similar to this but at the mall.. The older lady screamed at me because I did not open the door fast enough for her and she had to slow down her walker.. :eek I guess you know what I wanted to do as she walked by but being the nice guy I am I did not put it out.. :ninja

Some people just have no idea how to be social and thankful some of us still have manners..

I will try to do better myself. I really do hate to see others struggling. I came around the corner in the store one day a week or so ago to see a woman poking at something on the top shelf with a broom. I walked up and retreived it for her before she knocked a whole shelf on herself.

I'd of been annoyed. I'm usually the considerate one. I always say please, thank you, excuse me... Although I did have a blonde moment in front of Dollar Tree the other day. A woman was trying to get the door open and she had a baby stroller. Finally I said "Hey let me hold that for you"

It's little things such as this that can be so irritating, especially if you are already having a bad day.

In of itself it's not a huge thing. But when you have other headaches bothering you, it can make the day so much worse.

What's funny is this person probably felt, "There is no courtesy in this Country anymore!" Not even thinking about your hands being full, just the fact that they are older and "no one" shows them courtesy.

Perhaps a situation of misunderstanding ...

however

These types of situations are rather irritating. It would have been a little hard not to have opened the door, and walked out letting it close behind you. >: ) muahahah

I seem to pull that duty a lot myself. Being married to a shorty it just comes natural to reach up and get whatever they need from the top shelf. On the plus side I do occasionally find some bargains that others could not reach and I can reach the good sweet potatoes that others could not sort through.

you try your best to help others and some appreciate it, others could care less, but you gave your effort in trying and that's all one could ask for

Some guy at my job muttered "asshole" to the cashier at the convenience store because he wasn't being friendly or whatever. The cashier jumped over the counter and attacked him.
