Is there actually racism in other parts of the world? I've never even thought to study the subject... is it worse in other parts of the world than here in the US?

I agree that your post is foolish. Our government is founded on the idea that the people elect who they want to be represented. These "white politcal elite" were put in power by your votes, or your lack of voting. You also make it seem as if these "white political elite" are somehow fundamentally flawed, and have not helped one of the greatest, if not the greatest political state the world has ever seen.
You are also not even in this country apparently. I do not take well to you being happy that a white person is out of power, and hes poor just because he is white. That is clearly racist, and you need to get the bigotry out of your tiny, narrowminded, ignorant head. I wont go as far as the person above, because I feel like hes just angry a black person was elected, but this is based just on his angry response, I could be 100% wrong, and I apologize eitherway
As for racism, it has always, and probably will always exist EVERYWHERE. The caste system in india, the french in algeria, the europeans in the americans, the african slaves throughout the world, any other nation not involved in the 5 major players of classical diplomacy, etc. etc. I could continue making a list of how all of these are groups of people beliving they are superior to others. This is an idea that will never be gone, it is in human nature to have greed, and to have the need to be better or above another person.

As mentioned below, clearly I am the racist for voting for McCain, even though I didnt say who I voted for. I assure you, I dont care if the candidate is red, blue, green, orange or yellow, I will vote for the person that will make my life and my American friends lives the best. The fact you assume I am racist, and assume that all white "elites" or whatever are also racists is hypocritical, racist, and stupid.
Oh yeah, and needing a middle finger instead of a well versed post will clearly shut me up.
