Left 4 Dead- just got it for the 360 and I'm liking it. It reminds me of Half Life 2 but with permanent A.I. teammates and it has coop! And it's heart pounding when you are being swarmed by the "infected". I'm just hoping that the entire game is not burned out cities and sewers... It also reminds me of the movie 28 Days, and 28 Weeks. :)

Ah, so want to get that game! Maybe the wife will buy it for me for Christmas - she seemed to be somewhat into it as well. ;) I love the option for coop though, it's something that isn't built in to near enough games.

You are absolutely right. Apparently split screen coop requires lots of extra programming?
Apparently. I think dev's don't know that there are many people who would like to play coop. Hopefully the pending success of Left 4 Dead will change that though. Hopefully...

HL2 would have been an awesome coop game, even if they just did it messy and made two Gordon's. Of course, you always have to have the option of playing without a coop partner, or playing with an AI partner, but coop just as an add-on should be included in just about every game. :)

I played Left 4 Dead single player campaign a little, and its not that bad. However I need to coop with friends, I've heard its insanely fun with friends.

Remember Gears of War and Army of Two are both coop so maybe, slowly they are getting the message.

Didn't know Gears of War was... maybe I'll have to check that game out. :) And I knew about Army of Two, but kind of forgot about it after it came out and never tried it... is it any good? Good point though, hopefully this is a trend that will continue more and more.

I played the demo and a little of the full game. I fucking love it, especially with co-op. I looked through some of the levels and there is an airport, forest, and there's supposedly going to be the mall from Dawn of the Dead as DLC.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into this one. I saw a couple reviews and some gameplay videos for it. It looks extremely fun. The co-op play also makes this one more desireable. I dont get to see my brother much in person, but we do like to link up online and play games. This will be a blast. It reminds me of dawn of the dead or land of the dead.

I've not played AoT yet. But it's on my list. :) You should look at GoW. It's so cinematic sometime you feel like you're playing an interactive movie.

Just played 3 of the 4 L4D Campaigns (if that is what they are called) this weekend. Each campaign is broken down into approx 4 chapters, each ending with you in a "safe room" to regroup and heal. The finale on the top of Mercy Hospital (1st campaign) is a blast with you trying to survive the rush waiting for helo evac. Coop is maximum fun!! I'm loving this game. I also like the movie poster like screens that go up at the beginning of each chapter and the credits the run at the end of each chapter just like your up on the big screen. Death tolls are in the thousands. :)

TiP: When you get puked on and your world turns green (unable to see) make sure your constantly using your melee attack to keep infected at bay. On the 360 it is the secondary trigger. It is very effective for knocking the infected back so you can blast them. Sometimes a good wack puts them down for good with no shot required. :)

Trivia: What is the first kick ass coop game you ever played? For me it was Marathon, a FPS on the Mac that came out about 1993. It was amazing for it's time, better than anything on the PC including Doom. ;)

Did you play Gears? If so, how do they compare?

Well, I actually like AoT more, flaws and all but I'm probably in the minority. Don't get me wrong, Gears is great but I like the story more in AoT. Can't really go wrong with either of 'em, though, and I haven't gotten to play Gears 2 since I don't have a 360 anymore.
