Leavin on a jet plane...

I think she's taking it as well as she can, probably better than I would if we switched places. It takes some getting used to, but I know we can do it. My mom on the other hand is a whole different story...
 
I can imagine your mother would be going a tad crazy. We women don't bring children into this world just so they can go off and run around with guns behind enemy lines. We bring them into this world to love and take care of and raise to be successful additions to the future. I'm sure she's terrified of losing you, and wishes you were already close enough to hold in her arms.

That's good that your girl is so level-headed throughout this. I would bet that it would be very trying to be in her situation, and I wish her and your mother all the best in the world.

Honey, any time you step out of the USA, you're behind enemy lines. There's no truly safe place for an American these days...and half the time, it isn't even safe here.

*smiles* This is a good time for people to start picking up other accents if anyone plans on oversea travel... lol
