Last day of work!

As of 5:30pm today, I will no longer be the lead teacher of the infant room! I am going to miss my babies sooooooo much, and have been tearing up for a majority of the day. I have one precious little girl, we will call her "Wonderful," because that's what she is. "Wonderful" is the light of all lights. She is by far one of the most radiant spirits I have ever come across. She is destined to be someone great. I have told her mother and father several times that I don't think they understand exactly how great we all know she is. I have told them that whether she be the President of the United States, a Postal Worker, a Chef, what have you, she is going to change the lives of all that have the luck to work with her.

Her mother gave me a picture of her today. She is dressed in this beautiful sari (Indian Garb). She is half Sri Lankan and half Nigerian, and oh my goodness, is it a beautiful combo! The picture is already on my fridge. I will miss you my beautiful baby!

That being said, it's off to start the new job on Monday! Cannot wait, but it is going to be stressful. Wish me luck, and pray I don't run out of tissues by the end of the day!

thanks everyone! Starting on Monday, I will be the assistant to the lady who runs the special education department for the school district. Lots of time sensitive documents and what not (which is my main concern). Really excited, but nervous since it's such a change of pace compared to what I have been doing for the last 7years.

And, totally cried for the last hour of work. Gonna miss that, "Wonderful."

That young kid you describe reminds me of an inspirational - will have to dig it out.
