No I haven't done it.
I've heard it's worth it.
I've heard it costs about $3,000.
I've heard it doesn't hurt - it's just kinda weird.
I've not heard that it doesn't.

I've seen shows on it and I've heard people talk about it that had it. They seem pleased.

But, you have the internet. I'm sure there has to be a place where this is discussed. It can't be all unicorns & rainbows? Or, maybe it is.

i dont know how common these complications are. maybe ill ask when i go to the consultation. I need my sight as a photographer. Do you think its worth the risk? my eyes currently are bad enough that i need to wear glasses all the time. Not so bad ill bump into things but to recognise people in the street. reading road signs and so on.

i have given it serious consideration but for me the cost is too much right now. i know several people who have had it done and LOVE it.

For me personally, I would NOT do it. I'm near sighted and have astigmatism but I will endure my glasses. My vision is not bad enough to be a candidate for the surgery I was told many years ago - might be different now - but my sight is not something I am willing to risk.

My husband, 3 of my brothers and both my parents got it done, All are very happy with it. My husband reckons his vision is better then what it was like with glasses before. One of my brothers thinks that his vision is not quite as good as it was beforehand while wearing glasses but his eye sight was very very bad before, he is still very happy with results though

Eye surgery freaks me out. Neurosurgery is actually less freaky to me.

With the exception of being a medical examiner or a proctologist, the last job in the medical field I'd want to have is being an eye surgeon.

worth every penny! I'd do it again in a heat beat!

The pain wasnt even nearly as bad as i was anticipating. I cleared my diary for the next 2 days so i could "recover" i had surgery at 11:30 am by 3pm my eyes felt fine. By 5pm i was bored out my tree and made Andy take me out for dinner where i bored him silly by reading him the specials bored and the time and anything else that i could see! :D

I took antibiotic drops for a week. i took lubricating drops for 2 weeks (then was told only to use them as i needed them, which i never have)- i realise that i was quite lucky in this department cos not everyones eyes heals as well/ quickly as mine and people can suffer from dryness for a while.

How bad were your eyes before? I heard that price goes up the worse your eyes are, not sure if that's true haha :) but for me it'd probably make it bloody expensive.

Yes it is true. Also the worse your eyes are the more correction needed, the higher the risk. My eyes, although bad to me were relativly minor on the scale of being eligable for surgery. I was corrected for -1.75 in each eye.

Oh damn haha, I'm -7 in both.

I got put off of it when I saw a vid using an implement that looked like a potato peeler to peel the surface of your eye so the laser could get in.
