I'm at a loss at how they're going to fund anything themselves. But, if they want to be a completely independant nation from the United States, then they'll have to figure out a way to create revenue.

TRue, but they'd have to have one every 2-3 miles in order to have any kind of infrastructure...and how are they going to pay for all that stuff initially? I mean, they may have water sources there now, but you start popping out some casinos, then some golf courses (they go hand in hand I think) The water table is going to go away very quickly...

The first country that tried to support this would be on our shitlist. Complete cut off from the rest of the world...the first country that tried to fly over the US to get to the "Lakota State" would probably be intercepted and forced to land in Canada or some other useless country.
