So who has listened to Lacuna Coil? I refused to listen to them for the longest time, but Clare finally convinced me to listen to them and I picked up their album Comalies a while back. I was actually pleasently surprised. They sort of use a two lead singer approach, and I could give or take the male lead, but the female lead has a powerful, dark, rock voice. It can be very haunting in many tracks. I would say you could define their style as Evanescence without some of the cheese factor. A little more edge and a little less angst. It's definitley not heavy metal, but it is quality dark mainstream rock.
