Morris Iemma (capital i not a small L) just won the State elections for NSW - John Howard is the Prime Minister of Australia - that's the Federal government. Iemma can't change the laws that Howard put in about the Employee Awards but at least he can keep teachers & nurses from joining the Federal Award.

Later this year we get to vote on whether Howard stays as Prime Minister or Phillip Rudd, from Labour, wins the job.
