I think it is great for acouple of reasons:

I love the fact that you do not have to drive to every fucking place that you have to go to.

When you are done interviews you question yourself if you did the right thing. (easy to replay cases)

I am a fan of GTA and RDR. I am not a fan that they lack a good story. Going around killing crap randomly is dull. I like playing the storyline and that is about it. Not driving and seeing if I can shoot someone in the head.

Last but not least. The wife actually peeked enough interest (with enough wine) to play though a cases with me. She liked it but she will not admit it.

Its a good game but there are more movies then actually action. Also now that they ported it over for the PC, it lags so bad that even high end cards can only play on Performance settings.

This game was too fucking boring for me.

My brother loves that game. It seemed really interesting to me...but I like that kind of stuff.

I want to get this game, but I'm waiting until it's 20 or less. I heard it has ZERO replay value.
