Kinda Cool

I'm getting ready to head out for GSAR training shortly. We'll be going to the Macon Mall which is in the process of being demolished for remodeling. Not sure what the scenario is yet, but last year we were at an old kaolin pit in the boondocks and we had about 30 "victims" who had been injured in a chemical blast. Gotta charge my batteries for my camera so I can get some pics.

Yay for training!!!

On a side note, I've always wanted to be inside the mall when it was closed for business. I had this childhood fantasy of being locked inside once it closed and going and playing in all the tent displays in the sporting good stores, sliding down the escalators, and stealing the ice cream out of Baskin Robbins, LOL

I think mine was b/c there was a book I used to read and I wanna say it was about some mice that lived in the mall and it would tell you about all their little adventures once the mall closed. LOL

Training was boring...nowhere near as cool as last year w/ all the high-angle rescues we got to watch at the Kaolin pit. This was a Haz-mat incident contained inside a vacant store...we didn't get to see anything except for some really cute firefighters getting decked out in their Haz-mat suits.

Me too!!! There was some nice eye candy, though, so I guess that makes up for it.
