For those of you who may have missed it, Kelvin and I had the following "discussion" on rape laws:

I am not interested to know abt that. When I visit a country I make sure I respect their laws.

Are laws permitting the rape of women just?

Thats immaterial. Nobody is above the law.

That's not what I'm asking. Do you, personally, believe laws that allow the rape of women to go unpunisher are just laws?

You can start a new thread on that if you wish and get the opinion of the members here. Currently we are discussing abt the lady.

If a country's law is such then I will respect their laws.

Is a law that allows women to be raped without punishment to the perpetrator of the crime a just law? Should men, in any country or society, be allowed to rape women with no legal consequences?

I said my piece here. Thats enough. I enjoyed the debate as far as this thread is concerned.

Now that we have a whole thread for this, would you care to share your opinion on the matter? Should a nation, in the 21st century, have laws that permit rape?

BUT...to admit it would be agreeing with us "evil westerners"...and thats even more repugnant to him...so he will just evade the question

I dont want you banned.....I actually agree with a lot of your posts....and, believe it or not...I agreed with the "jist" of what you said in the other thread. (ie...you obey the laws of other countries whilst there, or dont go there at all)

I just cant work out why you refuse to answer a simple question....unless you DO agree with it, and know you will be flamed for your answer.

I wouldnt want to be on a forum with someone who condones rape and would therefore hope they would be banned.
