Hasn't been a good one since the first but the 3rd almost got there.

Boo IV, god, what a waste of money. Horrible.

God Dodge is going to come in here, see all this truth we're speaking, and his head is going to explode.

I'm not as obsessed with SAW as you think. I think plenty of movies were way better than SAW.

But as for SAW IV, I agree. I mean, being a fan of the franchise, of course I thought it was good. But it didn't quite reach the levels that the other three films did. I thought the twists were clever, and very good, but the Hoffman
being the newest apprentice
twist was way too obvious. I mean, we find out a major clue to this in the opening scene of SAW III, when
Hoffman picks up and keeps one of the rings from Troy's trap.
SAW IV seemed to be more of
SAW III: Part 2
than an actual fourth movie.
It didn't even explain the biggest thing that we were shown in SAW III: What Jeff's next test is to find his daughter.
But the few things I liked the most were
the many references to things only the fans would understand. For example, when the cop says, "Another doctor went missing from that hospital", that means that Lynn was kidnapped, and the first doctor was Dr. Gordon from SAW. Also, the "I didn't know you had a daughter" conversation, with Hoffman holding the stuffed animal. That was a nod to Corbett, and the fact that Hoffman kidnapped her. And finally, the line, "It's time to let go Rigg". That's a reference towards Hoffman being the apprentice, because in SAW III, the door for one of Jeff's tests reads "Time To Let Go".
Overall, it was a good fourth movie, but not as good as the others were. SAW III was the best one in my opinion.

I can't get into horror flicks. Closest I've come is the Scream trilogy. Can that really be considered horropr though? I kinda glimpsed at parts of Saw I when I was at my friends house once but never saw much of it we were bsing...

Scream counts, but it's more like a horror/thriller than straight up horror. It's a classic slasher flick, so yeah, it counts as horror. That's one of my all time favorite.
