Many people who are struggling to face the challenges that life can bring often find that receiving advice from others, such as yourself, as something that can be beneficial and helpful.

However, sometimes giving advice to someone isn't the answer.

Instead, doing the best you can to just listen can be the answer. Some people find that just having somebody to listen to them is the key.

Good point.

Often others just want to be heard and that provides the greatest relief especially if you seem legitimately interested.

Listening will help you understand, listening will help you learn but sadly these days people are only interested in speaking, they are impatient when it comes to listening.

Yes, just listening can make a big difference. People often don’t need solutions right away, they need to feel heard and understood. Giving someone your full attention can reduce stress, build trust, and make them feel less alone.

Listening definitely helps but I think sometimes people have issues hearing other people. Whether it's due to a speech impediment, or audio processing issues it can be hard for the person to listen. I have audio processing issues, but it usually happens when I'm listening to music so I mishear lyrics all the time.

For every communication to be effective, there needs to be proper listening. A lot of arguments and issues would have been prevented if people actually took out time to listen to one another instead of just answer without proper understanding.
