Alright ladies and gentlemen, it's time for another exercise challenge!!! It's getting hot outside but that just means it's the perfect time to get in some exercise swimming, walking on the beach, or running through the sprinkler. Hell, even washing your car counts!!! Anybody can walk for 10 - 15 minutes a day...no excuses!!! So come on and join us...whether you're just starting out and want to start w/ taking the stairs instead of the elevator OR whether you're an accomplished exercise enthusiast running 5 miles a day, there's a place for everybody!!! ;)

Once you make your initial post you will only be able to edit it for a certain amount of time. After that you will have to post a new post w/ your added activities and I will merge the posts for you. Please do not quote your previous posts in your new post, as it just makes extra work for me when merging.

My goal this month is going to be 2600 minutes. Got a weekend trip to Savannah planned and I hope to be spending lots of time walking down the beach and swimming in the ocean!!!

Goal: 2600 minutes
Total so far: 2605 minutes


1 - 35 minutes at the gym
2 - 5 minutes marching in place + 140 minutes swimming
3 - 35 minutes at the gym + 5 minutes marching in place + 70 minutes at the gym
4 - 5 minutes marching in place + 70 minutes at the gym

5 - Rest day.
6 - 35 minutes at the gym
7 - 35 minutes at the gym + 60 minutes DanceFit Class + 5 minutes marching in place + 80 minutes at the gym
8 - 5 minutes marching in place + 40 minutes on the balance ball (umm, what's it really called???) + 70 minutes at the gym
9 - 5 minutes marching in place + 90 minutes on the balance ball
10 - 5 minutes marching in place + 60 minute pushing around approximately 100 pounds of groceries
11 - 5 minutes marching in place + 55 minutes Byron Peach Festival 5K

12 - 5 minutes marching in place + 80 minutes at the gym
13 - 35 minutes at the gym + 5 minutes marching in place + 30 minutes cleaning my closet
14 - Rest Day.
15 - 35 minutes at the gym + 5 minutes marching in place
16 - 35 minutes at the gym
17 - 5 minutes marching in place + 175 minutes swimming + 15 minutes leg workout
18 - 5 minutes marching in place

19 - 5 minutes marching in place + 35 minutes at the gym + 60 minutes playing Dance Central
20 - 5 minutes marching in place + 60 minutes Photo Shoot (running around, etc)
21 - 40 minutes at the gym + 60 minutes DanceFit Class + 5 minutes marching in place
22 - 5 minutes marching in place + 100 minutes swimming
23 - 35 minutes at the gym + 90 minutes cleaning out my car
24 - 150 minutes walking + 15 minutes climbing stairs
25 - 110 minutes swimming + 200 minutes walking + 10 minutes climbing stairs

26 - 75 minutes walking + 15 minutes climbing stairs
27 - 5 minutes marching in place + 65 minutes Zumba
28 - 35 minutes at the gym + 60 minutes DanceFit
29 - 35 minutes at the gym + 5 minutes marching in place + 75 minutes at the gym
30 - 5 minutes marching in place

OK... so this may be my first true look at how moderation on this site works. On most of the places I have been, the drivel posts would have most likely been deleted or moved to out of public view. I am all about having good time, but exercise and fitness is something a lot of people take seriously and it's not the place for nonsense. I admire the goals of the serious people in this thread and look forward to seeing the progress.

Let me see.....

Thursday was 5 hours of sweating out in the heat taking care of the Garden Department - went through a liter of water so I didn't pass out from heat stroke.

Friday was 8 hours of sweating out in the heat taking care of the Garden Department - went through two liters of water so I didn't pass out from heat stroke.

That was my exercise for the week.

Next week I only work back there Friday. That will be another five hours of manual labor out in the heat. That will be my exercise for the week. The rest of the days will be spent sweating my ass off inside the hot store while on my feet all day. Exercise enough thank you very much...

Come on Autumn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Late start here.. I bought a Perfect Situp machine and it came with a workout. I'm going to do it but with a modification.

Sorry it's in two parts. Only way it wasn't blurry. Anyway, my next ten weeks will consist of this lol. For beginners, it says do 4-8 reps per exercise, 1 set, and follow with 15-30 minutes cardio. Now here's where the modification comes in, cardio is bad for me. So I'm going to substitute 15-30 minutes yoga or weight lifting instead. And do this 3-6 times a week.

Wish me luck lol.

I have planned rest days every Thursday and Sunday, as those are days that I have my son, so I don't have an opportunity to go to the gym. I may incorporate home workouts for some of those days though.

OHHHH I forgot.. I rode 26 miles on Tuesday in an hr and a half... slower pace than I like, but the wind was pretty brutal and it was pretty hot...

Okay, I think I got all the posts merged. So sorry, guys, that it took me this long...been busy times around here. I'm slacking on my exercise this month...got to get on the ball if I'm going to make my goal!!!

By the way, you don't have to redo your whole post everytime...you can just add the days that have changed and I'll merge it all together and fix it. Keeps the thread a lot less cluttered. :)
