I jog for hours and the world dissapears,
I'm not alone anymore, I'm still here, but I'm also back home.
Problems shrink and possibilities grow.
My feet pound on the pavement, I don't slow.
The sun shines down, hot, harsh; sweat on my brow
Shadows grow longer, sky pink, dark, gone
I will keep running on.
Outrage shrieks in my mind, running faster through time
I can't stand this pointless pace, calm down, slow through the race
I hear arguments, anger, sadness through the day
Ringing through my head—but suddenly
Heart beats, legs burn, why am I thinking of them now?
Forget the world; I need to find my heart, my soul, now.
Mind clear, fears forgotten, head straight, pace locked in
I will just keep on my jogging.
