A job gives you one income stream, you lose it, and you are at zero. Self-employed individuals often build multiple income sources, and multiple income sources always provide safety net as well as financial stability. In fact, most millionaires have many ways to earn. Relying on a single paycheck is risky. Creating diverse income streams, through freelancing, digital products, or investments, can offer long-term security.

A job offers steady income, benefits, and structure, but can be vulnerable to layoffs or company decisions. Self-employment gives control and growth potential, but income can be unstable. Security depends on risk tolerance, planning, and industry.

Employment offers more predictable income and potential benefits, but self-employment can provide greater control, flexibility, and the potential for higher income and security

Both have pros and cons, both have an insecurity factor, but the very big difference between the two is that being self-employed involves greater mental stress and more responsibility than working for someone else, also being self-employed involves greater freedom than working for someone else, even in earnings, since working for someone else will always mean you have a fixed salary limited to what they can pay you, on the other hand, working for yourself will earn you what you want to earn.

Working for yourself provides more job security than working as an employee in someone else's business because there is less risk, more control of your time and what you put out
