...because I was sick of paying $4.99 at Blockbuster for one lousy rental. :thumbdown

I get one free month and will only be paying $8.99 per month afterward, provided that I don't upgrade my plan.

So, does anybody have any suggestions as to which movies I should add to my queue? I've added one so far: A Clockwork Orange, a movie I've been meaning to see.

Oh golly...there are so many!

Are you able to stream it through a game system on the tv? That is all I get NetFlix for. There are a bunch of television series and movies available.

Reservoir Dogs
Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction
American Gangster
The Green Mile
Jerry Maguire

Wow, thanks for that list. I've watched Pulp Fiction and The Green Mile and enjoyed them both.

I've heard about Goodfellas, but I'm afraid it will just be a carbon copy of The Godfather.

Personally I think it's better than the Godfather, it's a true story too.
Lesser known films which are excellent that I'd recommend

Sexy Beast
Withnail and I
Shallow Grave
Cass
Shifty (about someone I know quite well)

Francis

I've seen that one too! In my opinion, it was good, but not something very memorable, more like a 'feel good' movie.

What kind of movies do you like ?

Ghost and Ransom were good ones..
I guess it all depends on taste..

Back to the Future trilogy was good as well as the "Lord of the Rings" one and "Star Wars"..

Watched Planet 51 with my son the other day and it was funny..

Again it all depends on taste..

I like things like Action Rush Hour and Science fiction Star Trek as well as Animation like Madagascar and Ice Age..

Netflix is a great choice. My fiancee and I decided to get it instead of gong out all the time. There are so many movies to choose from. What types of movies do you like?

I had a Netflix for about a year, and switched to Blockbuster online. They are both good. I liked Blockbuster because I could turn a movie in at the store and it would save a day on the next movie shipment. However, seeing how things are going, my guess is that brick and mortar Blockbusters are going to eventually disappear. I reached a point where I had seen all the movies I really wanted to. With an HBO/Showtime subscription, you see most of the new movies as they come out so I canceled.

As far as a movie list, just browse. :)

I just signed up for Netflix the other day. I figured I'd try the one month free and see if I liked it. Do they only have movies from certain studios available or what? So far I've found their selection to be rather limited and crappy.

I did try a free months trial (i believe the cost is normally $8.99 per month) but did not bother extending as my download limit with my ISP was close to being reached and i gather that extra susrprise cost makes netflix more expensive than ypu might think

I've had Netflix for more than a year now and love it! Like it better than Blockbuster.

I don't wait for the DVD/blu-ray to arrive. But I mostly watch available movies online!

They have a ton of movies, it's just a matter of the fact that their instantly available movies can leave a bit to be desired. I like to use the streaming instant queue to watch TV shows, though. Since I don't have TV.

:eek. You can streamline queues to watch TV shows? Pls teach me how to do that! :)
