some people cannot lose with exercise alone. I use myfooddiary.com to track what I am eating, and it tells me what I am doing well and where I am lacking. Also drink plenty of water and cut the sodium.

Ouz, my trainer talked to me about the whey protein. She told me to use it as a meal replacement on those mornings when I wake up too late for breakfast or during a day when I don't get as much protein as I am supposed to. She also told me make sure the protein/carb ratio is at least 3 to 1, and that there is less than 300 cals per drink/serving/whatever. so I think if I follow those guidelines I will be alright. What kind of protein do you/did you use?

I used the generic GNC brand. It was much more affordable than the other brands, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay with it (which i dont use it any more). You are right though, if you use it as a meal supplement you should be fine. I was using in addition to my meals to help gain muscle mass. Which it also helped with that, but it added extra in places I didn't want it. I'm sure your trainer knows what they are doing, just wanted to give my take on it.

i went to GNC and the mgr reccommended this, which i bought. He said he has worked at that store for 10 years and this is by far the most popular and best tasting. It actually tastes really good, I had one today. It has 48g protein per serving, 10 carbs, and 220cals.

how many servings per container? How many servings does your trainer have you taking per day? You've got to watch with stuff like that, it can cost you $70/week if you take it as some suggest.

The kind I bought was chocolate. Put it in a blender with some milk and it actually taste really good.

Don't take those!!!!! They make you gain weight! All my freinds that take that shit are all getting more fat. :eek

I just try to stay under 1200 calories a day and work out for at least 30-45 min. You do this, and you'll lose 3-4 pounds a week, well I did.

At the beginning of January I weighed 255. Since then, I've been eating much, much better food and I'm down to 225. I need to really find time to exercise, even if it's only walking a few miles a couple times a week. At this point, I can't even eat anything greasy or high in fatty goodness anymore. (it makes me really sick)

I'm slowly getting there. I just keep telling myself that I didnt put it all on at one time, so I can't magically take it all off at once. I gotta give my body time to work with it's elasticity, so I don't end up with flappy skin. I really don't want to look like a shar pei. ;)

I'm 5'6. I dont want to weigh next to nothing. I just want a higher muscle/fat ratio. Erm I dunno if I even said that right...But I want more muscle mass/less fat.
