Well for us Christians, Friday the 13th is the day we celebrate the "Old New Year's". It sounds like an oxymoron, but it's actually a special holiday for commemorating all that happened on the previous year and forgetting all that happened that year. It just happened to be on the 13th because of the old calendar which is two weeks late.
