OOOOOH noes ! It's a plane. Do you like to fly ? I am talking in an aircraft silly. Not on drugs. Do you mind putting your seat belt on and just trusting the metal box that takes off in the sky. Scary stories. Turbulance. Air plane food. No peanuts anymore ? What ? Discuss.

I don't have a problem flying. I just wish it was faster than it is. :24:
Exactly.

I love taking off....

The worst turbulence I went trough was going over Thunder Bay.. I think I got why they called it that... The plane shook and then it felt like we did a drop forever or so it seemed.. the the lights went all blinky for a bit.. It was a wild ride.. but in the end I found it fun :D..

Sometimes I wish they would just give me what they give dogs. Then I would just wake up acouple hours later and be there. That would be awsome.

Embarrassing story:

September 1998 my father and I were flying to Boston. I hate flying (cannot stress that enough) and the only thing that convinced me to get on the GD plane in the first place was that there was no crash between Halifax and Boston (to my knowledge).

Yep, for you savvy folk, you guessed it....that was the day the Swiss Air plane went down close to Peggy's Cove (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swissair_Flight_111.)

I was horrified...there was no way I was getting on the return flight...my family, of course, thought I was retarded and ignored me.

Blah, blah, blah...

Return flight, my father and I weren't sitting together, in hind sight, he probably planned it, but I was sitting beside a very nice gentleman from Texas, visiting Nova Scotia for the first time. I was soooooooo nervous that he tried making small talk to pass the time and help me out.

He asked where would be THE scenic spot for a first-time visitor to go...of course, stupid me...I said "Peggy's Cove", pretty much right over the crash site...I could here everyone around us gasp and my father disown me.

I used to love flying. But with all the security and smaller seats, etc., it's a pain in the ass now. Joe and I fly to Europe quite often and thank goodness once one gets out of the States, it's not too bad. Otherwise.....YUCK.

Now small planes are fun, especially skydiving out of them!:clap
