Is this institutionalized child abuse by religion?

I see many theists teaching many strange things to their children. Like the notion that fantasy, miracles and magic are all real.

Theists showed at the I D trials that it is ok to try to lie and distort the truth to have Christian creationism taught in school. The Dino Museum is in this same class of lying.

Is what I have shown child abuse or not?
As a theist, should you be doing something to aid the victims?
As a non-theist, should you be doing something to aid the victims?
Are we not all our brothers keeper and should we not all be acting in the defense of our children and grand children?

I don't think teaching a religion to children is child abuse unless you use fear to indoctrinate them. However, denying your children a good education is child abuse. A good education includes science even if it contradicts some of your cherished beliefs.

What is calling Eden man's fall just for seeking knowledge and ignoring a God who would deny man his moral sense?

Yep, telling children they will go to hell if they don't accept Christianity is child abuse.

I disagree with the doctrine of original sin. It's a very negative and pessimistic view of humanity. I think parents who teach this doctrine to children are misguided but I wouldn't go so far as to call it child abuse.

Yet that teaching is what sets original sin and has been used by Christians to suppress women and discriminate against Gays for many years.

As straight males, we tend to forget about the effects it has had on those who are not.

In reality, the Eden myth is a very old glimpse into a primitive mind. Parents should not teach their daughters that women are to be "an help meet" to their husband. That is an oppressive and out-dated idea.

However it's possible to modernize the myth (as you yourself do) and as such I think it's fine to teach as part of one's religion.

It is possible yes. But religions will not.
They would have to admit that their interpretation was wrong and they are loathe to do so.
Better from their P O V to just maintain the lie.
