Is the Metaverse Truly “Open,” or Just Another Corporate Trap?

Big tech companies promise freedom and creativity in virtual worlds, but monetization seems to dominate. Will the metaverse empower individuals or exploit them?

I see more of an exploitation. They have entry fee, they also charge for other activities. Big tech companies are using metaverse to make money and sadly public is being trapped.
