Minimalism claims to reduce waste and focus on essentials, but critics argue it’s just another fashionable lifestyle. Does choosing simplicity reflect deeper moral values, or is it largely performative?

I think minimalism should be an ethical choice. Minimalism ensures that the resources are protected, environment is taken care of. But sadly it mostly appears as a trend.

Minimalism can be an ethical choice when it reduces waste, overconsumption, and financial stress. But it can also become a trend when it’s treated as an aesthetic rather than a lifestyle. Its value depends on intention. When practiced mindfully, it encourages simpler living and more conscious use of resources.
