User data is collected, stored, and processed primarily by foreign corporations, leaving individuals and governments with little control. How can privacy standards be enforced globally? Is international cooperation possible against corporate dominance?

Digital colonialism is a threat to online privacy. Meta sold user data but when it was disclosed, it only compensated American users, despite having more users in other countries than in the US itself. This is digital colonialism at its height.
