Exclusive titles help consoles stand out, but they also lock players out of experiences. Should game studios stop doing exclusives or is competition healthy for the industry?

I do not think it is good for gamers. I cannot imagine someone buying a new console just because the game they want to play is not available on the platform they are using.

Console exclusivity can push a platform to innovate and offer unique experiences. But also it limits access, forcing gamers to buy multiple systems to play certain titles, which can be frustrating.

For me yes it's good, because that means the consumer will buy the console that the games are being released for. Console exclusives were always cool, it made you feel like you needed to get a specific console and you only had to really worry about that one console to play your favorite games. I feel that having games come out on multi platforms that once were console exclusives will hurt some brands, especially the Xbox brand. For example, with Halo coming to PS5 this is really going to affect Xbox sales even more. Microsoft has been making very questionable changes and having their games that were once only locked to the Xbox come to other platforms like PS5 will cause gamers to get PS5 consoles more and skip over the Xbox line of consoles.
