I've heard with all NSAIDS could cause it. Just depends on how often you take them. If you aren't going over board you should be fine.

I've also heard that an Aspirin a day keeps the heart attacks away. lol

It was for Bruce Lee.

My mom has been taking at least one asprin a day for most of my life. Her most recent blood work (December 2010) showed her liver being perfect. That's the only experience I have with asprin though.

Just ask your doctor. If he/she says it's ok for you, then so be it. It all depends on blood type, blood pressure, etc. It thins out your blood, so, say you're anemic, it could be bad for you.

my mother took an aspirin a day for three years without talking to her doctor and it caused some thyroid issues. she has since stopped

your specific blood type has nothing to do with taking medication.
its aceteminaphine (sp) that messes with your liver...aka tylenol not asprin.
acetaminophen ;)

My mom had me terrified of aspirin growing up.
thats because of Reyes syndrome that little kids can get from taking it

what does taking aspirin and getting migraines have to do with anything?

Just an FYI Dana you should not be taking ANY Asprin while you are using Coumadin unless your doctor prescribed both to you in combination with each other.... I am surprised they did not tell you this.
