Yes and no. iPhones are still one of the most stolen devices out there right now. However I think there is a slow but steady realization from more and more people that these are just luxury devices, and they aren't really much better than Android phones in the same price range. In fact, in many cases you can get an Android phone that is more powerful for less. The price of their products is largely dictated by their brand. From a design perspective, Google has the upper hand because there are simply more people using Android devices these days. Their designs are now setting the standards as opposed to Apple, and Apple is playing catch up. Google can innovate with unique services tied to their platforms, Apple can't do that - they have to try and snatch up some comparable technology, if it even exists, and play "me too" every time Google releases something cool. Apple is all about branding and image, they take the most mundane thing and make it sound like they invented the wheel - pretentiousness will only get you so far. Google has the talent pool.
