What are everyone's thoughts on this issue? Iran has defied all UN sanctions against it regarding the acquiring of nuclear material, and Russia is helping them do it anyway. In addition, Ahmadinejad has said on numerous occasions that he wants to wipe Israel off of the face of the earth and calls America the "great satan".

Does Israel have a case for a preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear reactor before it is fueled, as it poses a security risk for their country due to threats against it? does the same go for the United States?

I was just reading an article that said that Israel has three days to destroy the reactor before it is fueled, and the radioactive fallout would be disastrous if they destroyed it after that point.

Thoughts?

It's a touchy situation. The US government, other western governments, and the UN are all to blame because they didn't do something sooner. Now, the situation is about to boil over and we could have a huge mess on our hands.

Are we sure about this one? I'd hate to see brave army people being killed in another expensive war based on a lie and we seemed so sure about the last one.

They should be able to build a nuclear reactor if they want.

I'd like to the sources for the accusations leveled at Ahmadinejad here, and if it's in the MSM, you can guarantee it's a lie.

There is never a justification for a pre-emptive strike against another country, irrelevant of what's supposedly being said. He's entitled to his opinions just like you and me. Israel would be making a massive mistake by attacking Iran. I saw a video on youTube about the strike capabilities of both countries, and Israel don't have the firepower to destroy Iran, it's simply too large. Whereas right now, Iran has the missle power to level Israel. Odd that they haven't done it, given what Ahmadinejad supposedly says about Israel and the US.

Oh FUCK IRAN. Those crazy bastards can't be allowed to have a nuclear reactor. I'm a big fan of Israel, they've put crazy ass countries in their place before. So I say they should do it again and hopefully destroy a good portion of that god-forsaken country.

Ok let me rephrase that haha. Of course I don't support that. I just respect their efforts to put down legitimate threats in the middle east. So i'm a fan of that aspect of their tendency to take some initiative.

Yall haha Iran is run by crazy motherfuckers. And i'm not some redneck from the southern usa who automatically hates middle eastern countries either. They represent oppression and insanity. They hate the usa as well and would love to drop a nuke on us. So fuck them.

Why are Iran crazy motherfuckers? On what do you base that? Maybe it's their reaction to the fact that:

1) they have lots of oil
2) the US invades countries for oil
3) the US have already invaded and are occupying neighboring Iraq & Afghanistan
4) the US fully supports any insanity Israel chooses to inflict on the region

Hell, if Canada and Mexico were invaded and occupied by Russia, wouldn't the US be freaking out about it?

You should have sympathy for Iran. They know their time is coming, and they know the US is preparing for war with them.

Didn't Israel already blow the shit out of Iraq's nuclear reactor that the French built for them?

I seem to remember it was a 3 plane mission done completely under the radar.

I'm not sure, worth looking into.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course, but I find it hard to believe that anyone truley believed that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to Israel. (He certainly posed a threat to Iran. History proves that.)
As far as dictators go, Saddam was one that showed little interest in religious conflict, except when it suited him. It certainly helped him rally the country against the Shi'ites.

I don't think even Saddam thought he was a threat to Israel. The Iraq would have lost against Israel. Iran, on the other hand, that's a different story, I'd put money on Iran.
