stupid question from the electronically challenged....

if i could change one thing about my ipod, it would be that i could listen to it while it charges.
when i'm at work, i plug it in to charge cuz i don't have itunes on the work comp.
anyways, is there a setting or something i can change to fix that or is that just a stupid feature?

its not good to play it while charging it, it worsens the battery life.

You should let it run out of batteries, charge it to near full/full then use it. Dont let it sit in a chrager either!

I gave my ipod to my ex, but I could have swore you could have listened to music while it was charging.

do what i do all the time at work... buy a power adapter with a usb port (either the apple one or one from wal-mart; i got one for wal-mart so i can power my little speakers, then when my battery gets low, i plug in the iPod and it runs off of the usb power not the battery. I have the 80gb iPod Classic, i dont know what you have tho. hehe i know that you cant listen to music on the shuffle while charging cuz the headphone jack is also for power...
like this but it also has a usb port and a switch for 'usb power'

If you're charging it on your computer just eject it from iTunes but don't unplug it. It will still charge USB and you can listen to it.
