It's time to help each other get a handle on what all the acronyms are, alternate meanings of words, whatnot.
Let's do this: we'll have a single post, bumped periodically, with definitions in it. Let's at least try it on for size, and if it doesn't work, it'll die a slow, agonizing death on its own. And I know you could go to URBAN DICTIONARY and things of that sort, but let's save some time and do it here. And this is by no means comprehensive. By request, mainly, or as things pop into my own twisted head.
Instead of having this thread potentially become eleventy billion pages long, PM me what you either a) would like to have defined or b) have a definition for and feel like needs to be in here, and I'll keep editing this and updating it and do the legwork, probably going to UD or wiki quite often when I'm stumped.
For instance:
newbie, newb, noob, noobsauce - someone who is new to something (forum, hobby, etc); can be used as a derogatory term.
owned - to be made a fool of, embarassed, called out, etc.
also shown as pwnd or pwnt or "ownage," the noun form of it, also shown as pwnge or pwng3
