For whatever reason IE keeps opening up, and freezing... So I close it and it just opens again. I have no idea why it's opening, either. I have restarted my computer twice and it hasn't helped. If it freezes and I just leave it open, another window opens. WTF

No, I have never heard of that. It started happening after I tried downloading OLP from demonoid... :/

I would say you have a virus

You could try running some anti spyware and see if it does any good but I am doubtful.

Some of these viruses can be a bit tough to remove.

Hijack This is a free program that will help to determine if there is a source and give people in the know the info needed to remove it.

Doing a system restore does not work.

I would be careful what you do in the meantime. Some of these viruses can compromise your security.

i think you have a pretty nasty virus called "Internet Explorer" you can't get rid of it, but you can ignore it by downloading firefox :24:

You probably should have made that clearer. You made no mention of google chrome, just IE.

But that doesn't mean I use IE. I said it was opening randomly, not that I was opening it.

Yeah, I was thinking that after I realized when it started to happen. Great! Haha, I'll have to do that then. Thanks!

depending upon what it is anti spyware won't always work.

Malwarebytes is a good one so it is worth running that first and see how things go.

I am not qualified to help with the Hijack This unfortunately but there are sites that are free that provide help on these kinds of problems.

Damnit Kay, I thought I told you to be careful about what Porn sites you went to. It's just like being a real whore, you catch things.

maybe you should just uninstall IE?

Part of the issue is that you can never really get rid of Internet Explorer completely..

If you open a standard Folder in windows, you can make it into a Internet Explorer Window just by typing www. anysite you want.com and it will go to it instead of your C:\Documents and Settings\User\...

I don't think Microsoft ever close that loophole in Windows XP but may have in later Windows like Vista and Windows 7.. Maybe you can update me :D
