so since the news channels like fox and msnbc have started talking about how a lot of americans are getting tired of the BS in washington has anyone else noticed that both of them and other news outlets have suddenly stopped being so openly hostile towards "the other side?" i dont hear the snarky sarcastic nasty remarks like i use to. i guess they thought that's what the american people wanted. hell they were encouraging the same divide between americans as there is between dems and reps.

i still find it funny though evan bayh still got ridiculed by some for his comments. he was only saying what some of us are thinking feeling and saying. i guess for some its still wrong to have a differing opinion or view point about whats going on in washington.

this isnt a blame thread BUT i do want to ask a question or two. first off, what do YOU think of all this BS? do you think the news channels have been encouraging this kind of behavior from washington and their own viewers? what about the politicians themselves? do you think they're being true to themselves by being nasty childish and puerile or do you think that's just an act and they were doing it thinking that's what we wanted?

this goes back as far as the clinton administration, since that was when i was old enough to vote so i really have no knowledge of the political scene prior to that. disagreeing is one thing but with a lot of the behavior from the news channels, their employees and the politicians has just been deplorable to me. am i the only one who in general thinks this should never have happened and that this has only served to set our country further back and hurt us? short term political tactical gains at the expense of fucking ruining this country is just bullshit.

i also think all the talk about this is also the end result of politicians probably shitting themselves at the prospect of being voted out of office as a result of their behavior. the sad thing is most americans will have forgotten all about this by the time the next election comes around and the same damned jokers will be in office screwing us and the country for another term.

I can't offer an opinion cuz I haven't watched 'news' shows (except my local news for weather) in quite a few years.

I get my news online from indy news blogs. More truth and less government-sponsored propaganda that way ;) Tho, there's more of a chance of needing some Tums:willy_nilly: But I can take it. :D

the news "shows" are a way to amuse myself. the people on them and hosting them are so full of shit their eyes are brown. i also watch once in a while to see what kind of line they're wanting us to tow. i know the shows are for sheeple but they make it too obvious.

i prefer my real news to be from other sources, like you do.
