I fished this pond often when I lived near it. Why would anyone release Pacu into a pond?

Odd so because someone put these fish in there they shut it down. Could you imagine the cost for all this.

This is an enclosed pond. Whatever fish were in the pond were being overwhelmed by undesireable species. I am sure this was an expensive proposition. Pacu are a member of the piranha family and are their "vegetarian" cousins but they will eat most anything at some point and can get quite large.
