Sometimes insurance and assurance are used interchangeably, however, you need to understand these are two different concepts. "Insurance" and "assurance" are two different types of coverage offered by insurance companies. Assurance is usually used for whole life policies that offer lifelong protection. Insurance, on the other hand, usually covers you for a fixed term, like 10 or 20 years. Interestingly, insurance and assurance have specific purposes within life insurance? What kind of life insurance product do you have?

Thank you for this explanation. I was not aware of it. In fact, I was ignorant that there ie something called assurance in the financial sector. I would explore more about it. I might be having some assurance policy that I would have mistaken as insurance. Good to learn something new here.

Insurance and assurance are both risk management tools, but they differ in scope and purpose. Insurance typically covers events that might happen, like accidents or theft, offering financial protection if the event occurs. Assurance, often life assurance, covers events that will happen, such as death, providing a guaranteed payout. Insurance is conditional, while assurance is certain.
