As of right now, they are still on the run. I hate it knowing that they are out there anywhere. I didnt even let my kids play outside by themselves last night.

that's why tim and i had that great idea of living right across the street from a jail. When the imates escape they wouldn't be coming to our house...they would be running as far away as possible

Yeah I dont think I would want to live right next to a jail. My kids would never get the privelege of playing outside then at all. I would be paranoid all the time.

I heard wrong. Only 3 were captured.

Three of the six men who escaped from the Van Buren County Jail early Tuesday morning have been found. Deputies say Peter Boulette, Randy Crisel, and Thomas Martin IV were found near Wal-Mart off Highway 65 in Clinton. Boulette was found at 3:45 Wednesday morning. The other two were discovered about 5 hours later.

The six escaped around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, but weren’t discovered missing until around 6:30 in the morning. The sheriff says they were able to poke a hole in the ceiling and climb out. It’s the same way two men escaped only 4 months ago. Since then, the sheriff put sheet metal on the ceilings, but the six men found a way to get around it without the jailers catching them.

“Every hour they are supposed to do a head count and check the pods and make sure everything is OK and looking at the paperwork, it looks like it was done, and how they missed this, I don’t know,” says Van Buren County Sheriff Scott Bradley.

If you’ve seen the men or know anything about where they might be hiding, call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department or your local police department.

Breaking News: Van Buren County Escapees Caught

Victoria Johnson says, "We saw last night, someone in a gray t-shirt ducked down in high grass and that panicked me...."

Victoria Johnson called the Van Buren County Sheriffs Department and in no time at all a search started on Holly Mountain Road near Peedee, just off Highway 16 in Van Buren County. They went door to door and finally came to house that had been broken into.

Sheriff Scott Bradley says, “We got a tip that that place had been broken into, two places actually, and can food was missing and firearms things we thought someone on the run would use.... "

Sheriff Scott Bradley says they knew then they were hot on the trail of Edward Messer, William Callahan, Lester Byes. When they located the car the three escapees had stolen, they soon found them. “We started a search on foot we found them located in a two story house all three found sleeping in one of the bedrooms"
