Buy about 5-6 lbs of country style pork ribs and a bottle of Jack Daniels BBQ sauce.
Put the ribs in a large pot or crock pot. Chop a large onion into tiny bits, add in. When the liquid starts to cover the ribs about half way up while cooking, remove the majority of it and dump in the whole bottle of sauce. Continue cooking until the meat falls off the bone and gristle.
Pulled pork-enough for about 16 sammiches.

3 lbs chopmeat
1.5cups seasoned bread crumbs(the crumbly kind-not cubes)
2 eggs
1/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons of brown gravy mix(or one envelope instant onion soup)
mix all together
divide into 3 lumps, shape each into a loaf. Place all 3 on a cookie sheet
Bake 45 minutes
3 meatloafs, each to feed 4 or 5 people

1 tube crescent rolls
sliced pepperoni or crumbled sausage
1 package shredded mozzarella
small jar of spaghetti sauce
open the rolls and place each one flat on a cookie sheet or pizza stone, flatten each slightly
layer other ingredients onto the wide part of each roll, much as you want(I do sauce, cheese, meat, more sauce, cheese). Fold over the opposite end like a turnover, pinch shut.
Bake according to package instructions.
Strombolis

Each of these meals, including the leftovers to be frozen for a later time, feeds the 4 of us(all adult eaters) and total cost for each is no more than $15(cheapest is the meatloaf-3 full meals for under $5 each)-I do have to make two full sets of the strombolis though, my kids each eat 4.

The good thing with spaghetti is you can make it any way you want to. If you have tomatoes, you can make your own sauce. Onions, ground beef with italian seasonings, etc.

You can get ham steaks, fry em up on the stove, make some rice or noodles and peas/corn, etc.

Spaghetti costs me probably about 3 bucks to make everytime I make it with some garlic salted bread.

One of my favourite inexpensive meals is Shepherd's pie (which just thing if you have left over meat). Another dish is spinach fettucini with fetta and tomato.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 pound cold potatoes
2 ounces dripping or lard
1 onion -- finely chopped
8 ounces cooked cabbage or sprouts -- chopped
Salt
Black pepper -- freshly ground

Finely chop the potatoes and crush slightly. In a frying pan melt half the
fat and lightly fry the onion. Mix in the potato and greens and season well.
Add more dripping or lard. Press the
bubble into the hot fat and fry over a moderate heat until browned
underneath.
Turn the bubble over, add the last of the fat and fry until the other side
is browned.

Try it, its yummy and very cheap! Its nice with a bit of bacon in it too!:licklips:
