Natalie Portman may play be in the running to play Harrison Ford's daughter in Indiana Jones IV
Raiders of the Lost Ark actress Karen Allen told the crowd at a recent Indiana Jones screening that she’d heard she was in the running for the role.
“I just heard Natalie Portman was cast as Indy's daughter”, she revealed, before quickly changing the subject.
Allen also denied knowing anything of the rumors that she will make an appearance in the film, reprising her role as Marion.
If this bit of casting does happen, than it would untie two Star Wars old/new trilogy thespians. Han Solo would essentially be Queen Amidala's father. Now that's funny.
But for now just treat this as a rumor. Production of Indiana Jones IV is expected to start soon, and Portman has a bunch of projects lined up in the coming year. The actress is currently filming My Blueberry Nights, and will go on to star in The Other Boleyn Girl later this year.
