four months later, i thought i'd check back on what the public opinion is on impeaching bush.
i'm for impeaching bush.
no, i don't think it's too late. yes, the damage is already done. i know "things aren't that bad. we'll keep living after the bush administration." i don't think bush caused 9/11 or katrina, and we will make it out of the national debt eventually.
but i want to see bush (and dick) impeached. the greatest contributions this administration has done for foreign policy is bypass the UN, start another undeclared war, and make a mockery of the US on the global stage. the domestic policy consisted of heightening security and proposing a constitutional ban on gay marriage.
and i see the news reports fighting to say how controversial the war is with the people, but how many people actually care? other than the 38% approval rating and wagging our fingers, how have we participated in our government?
a democratic republic with out the people is just a politically correct aristocracy.
impeaching bush would send a message that we have a say with what our president does after we elect them, and we don't condone a lot of things this administration has done.
i bring it up now because there will be a march on washington in a couple weeks. while the site can be a bit gimicky, ImpeachBush / VoteToImpeach: has all the details lined out. i know how people hate links, so i might break down some of the reasons i agree with later.
that's my take on it. i expect the majority to be no's, but i like to see the popular opinion.
